We believe that when peeer educators are slightly older ‘peers’ than the ‘learners’ the learning is facilitated by the peers being perceived both as more experienced and as desirable role models. report Social learning theory emphasises the need for informants to be credible and other studies have shown the importance of a social connexion between informant and learner. Peer educators Our analysis of the data from the past few years strongly suggests that the benefits of the programme to students is significantly better in schools where there is evidence that the peer module has been delivered. Some of the adult facilitated work engages learners in activities where they share views and find solutions together - a form of peer to peer learning. Peer2peer
