Key Stage 3

The modules address the QCA advisory curriculum with an emphasis on relationships rather than Biology which has been covered adult facilitated programme  ”Starting with Biology” a  revision of the Biology Sexual health Biology to be delivered  in Year 7 or 8.

Peer Led
This module is probabaly the key to all of Apause. Slightly older peers are credible informants and are able to influence beliefs towards reality in ways that adults are not. Thus the key belief that most young people have not had sex before 16 is much more likely to be held, correctly after this peer delivered module.
Adult Facilitated

The ‘More than Biology’ module is fundamentally a peer to peer learning experience facilitated by a teacher and where possible supported by ahealth professional. The Classic Apause Year 9 lessons are co-delivered by a teacher and a health professional as a collaborative learning experience.
