Training of RAP facilitators has so far been using an ‘apprenticeship’ model where the facilitator/peer trainer works with an exisitng team of a facilitator/trainer and peers and this does seem to be a successful model.  Someone very expereinced in working with disadvantaged, disorganised and fragile  young people in difficult delivery environments might well be able to manage the role wihout the apprenticship process but this has not yet happened!
