Year 9 (classic version)
The co-training of teachers and health or other professionals who will co-deliver the Apause sessions has been bot a strength and difficulty withteh programme.
The high standard and value added achieved in the training is one of the attributes most valued by stakeholders in the whole of Apause. (Other highly valued features are the Co-elivery in the classroom and the Peer education module)
Although training has been reduced from two days to one, pressure on staff and INSET days and the costs and feasability of releasing a number of staff on the same day have made this amount of training problematic for some schools. This is paarticularly acute in schools where delivery is by tutors rather than a specialist team. The variant KS3/4 adult facilitated program has partly arisen out of these logistic difficulties).
Apause uses a nimber of expereinced trainers thoughout the country to deliver this training
